Q4 2023 Performance of Top iOS Film & Television Apps in Latin America

In the final quarter of 2023, the Film & Television category on the iOS platform saw significant activity in Latin America. Sensor Tower data presents a snapshot of the top applications and their performance metrics during this period.

HBO Max: Stream TV & Movies experienced a revenue uptrend, peaking at nearly $1M in late October and early November. Downloads showed a robust increase, reaching approximately 162K in the third week of November. Weekly active users (WAUs) peaked at around 1.8M in late November, indicating a healthy user retention.

Disney+ also had an impressive quarter with revenues hitting a high of nearly $980K in the week of November 20th. Downloads remained steady with a peak of around 145K in the last week of December. The app's WAUs showed an increasing trend, ending the quarter with over 2.2M active users.

Star+, another app under the Disney umbrella, saw varied revenue performance with a peak at nearly $490K in the final week of October. Downloads for Star+ fluctuated, with a notable peak of 180K in early October. WAUs for Star+ were highest in early October at nearly 1.6M but showed slight declines towards the end of the quarter.

Globoplay: Novelas, séries e +, the Brazilian powerhouse, maintained consistent revenue with a peak at over $360K in mid-October. Downloads saw a significant jump to 88K in the third week of November. WAUs showed a high of over 700K in mid-October and late November.

ViX: TV, Fútbol y Noticias saw a revenue peak at over $300K in the third week of November. Downloads for ViX were highest in late September at around 73K. The app's WAUs had a slight decrease over the quarter, ending with approximately 345K in the last week of December.
